The targets used on this site have been made with a process that has a 64,000 dpi resolution. This means that a target 2 cm wide at 64,000 dpi is equivalent to a ink-jet print at 300 dpi of 4 metres wide! As a consequence the targets have a slanting edge with more than sufficient sharpness for the 20.9 MP D500 and 36 MP D800 and 45.7MP D850 cameras used for this analysis. The photo lithography resolution is suitable for sensors well in excess of 40 MP.
